Afford a home with this resource you may not know about

I saw an advertisement about a veterans’ homebuyer-assistance program. A program like this could help me buy my first home, but I’m not a veteran. Are other programs available?

Yes. There are a variety of homebuyer-assistance programs available that can help Texans purchase a home. Many of these programs provide homebuying assistance based on your income, and some are specifically for first-time homebuyers. Assistance may include covering a portion of closing costs or your downpayment. You can find what’s available in Texas at txhomeprograms.org.

You should also find a Texas REALTOR®. Even if you aren’t quite ready to make a home purchase, a Texas REALTOR® can help you understand your options and make sure you take the right steps from the start. Find a Texas REALTOR® in your area at texasrealestate.com/realtors.
